YELLOW AGATE RING AND CITRINE POINT. The ring is a symbol of a bond, attainment, perfection, and immortality. In the Mysteries, initiates wore a serpent with a tail in its mouth as evidence a position reached in the order. When worn by a messenger it proved he was a representative of an individual. In Anglo–Saxon Britain it was a symbol of the bond between chieftains and their warriors. To the Celts, it was a gift from a woman to a man to signal her availability. As a wedding ring, it meant a state of equilibrium, completion had been attained, meaning a union of the Higher Self (God), with the Lower Self (Nature). It became a “betrothal ring” to symbolize marriage to a deity, e.g. the Virgin Mary or Christ. In pagan times it could have meant marriage to Venus, or in the Middle Ages to the Sea Goddess. To the Egyptians it was worn on the fourth finger of the left hand, believed to hold the “love vein,” to keep the sentiments of the heart from escaping. To the Jews, a wedding ring was worn on a woman's index finger of her right hand to block the energy of that magic finger because it could cast spells or curses by pointing. Solomon used a magic ring to enslave the demon Asmodeus into helping him build the famous temple, but Solomon was tricked into giving up the ring. In prehistoric times the ring symbolized the link between death and regeneration. |

AMBER CROSS AND HEART. The cross is an ancient pagan sign symbolizing the after life. It goes back at least as far as the Egyptian religion of the Sarapis, it meant ”the life to come.” On a coin of Gallienus it appeared as a scepter of Apollo. On the Damietta stone, it set off the words, “Ptolemy the Savior.” It was assimilated into the Christian religion in the seventh century and authorized in the ninth century. It symbolized life and death, the burden of life, and the death and resurrection of the Redeemer. To many nations, it represents the astrological aspect of religion. To the Persians, Greeks and Hindus it probably symbolized the equinoxes and solstices. To Quabbalists, it symbolized the four elements. The four letters on top of the cross stand for the four elements in Hebrew. To the Druids, it was an emblem of regeneration. |

ONYX EGG AND FLUORITE POINT. The egg is the universal symbol of regeneration. In Egyptian mythology the whole universe is the egg conceived in the hour of the Great One. Hathor was the mother of the golden egg. In Hindu mythology, it is the symbol of the fifth element, spirit, a black or indigo egg called Akasa, the Void. The egg was considered to be a symbol of the great mother who created the universe. In the Orphic legend, the primal black–winged Night laid the silver egg of the cosmos in the womb of Darkness. From this egg hatched Eros, who gave motion to the universe. In the Mysteries, the center of the Cosmic Egg is the fiery alter of Destiny, the life germ, inside a golden triangle. The Solar Man on a cross is annually crucified, upon death he enters the grave of creation, so he may redeem the creatures dwelling within the shell of the world egg. The hierarchies govern the destiny of the world egg and it's contents, the universal agencies. The goose was the emblem of the first primitive substance or condition from which and within which the worlds were fashioned. In the Mysteries, the universe was likened to an egg, which the Cosmic Goose had laid in space. Eggs were so sacred to the Celtic tribes it was forbidden to eat them because of the connection to the Sun–Egg. The egg can represent the soul of philosopher. The outer layer of the human aura is a shimmering golden with pulsating veins, the charkas. We are truly beautiful beings. |
