Each one of us has a group of energy centers, called the chakras, a Sanscrit or Indian (Hindu) word meaning wheels of light. There are seven major chakras, which run up the center of the body. They are energy centers that spin like tornadoes in our body. Each center (chakra) is related to a specific part of the body and to a specific set of issues. Whenever these energy centers are spinning in a big energized circle, we feel great, open and balanced, healthy, content, and loving.
However, when the chakras are not swinging in a big circle, but are off center, wobbley or slow, that is exactly how we feel — just “off” — like something just isn’t right. By holding a pendulum in front of each chakra, we can pick up the pattern of that “little tornado’s” swing to reveal the way that chakra is swinging. Then, by swinging the pendulum in front of that chakra in the way that it is supposed to swing, we can help restore it to the healthy pattern it should have.
